Deep Sky Divers new EP “Komorebi” is released March 8th 2026 on streaming services and at deepskydivers.bandcamp.com. 3 tracks from our forthcoming album. Featuring Jon Short in collaboration with his son Liam who plays guitar, drums, keyboards and bass.

Komorebi is a beautiful Japanese word describing the effect of dappled sunlight filtering through the leaves of trees. Written and performed by Liam with additional keyboards and production by Jon. Shimmering guitars and a super cool drum take. Inspired by music we love from neo-soul / downtempo artists like Tom Misch, Tingsek, Zero 7.

Smile / Sarabande is a simple Satie-esque slow 3/4 tune (a sarabande) for piano/bass/drums trio. Written/performed/produced by Jon with Liam on drums. The benefits of smiling are many fold, well documented and come completely FOC.

Sound of More to Follow is the start of something. Written and performed by Liam, Jon heard it and said “that’s a Deep Sky Divers tune”. And so it is. Chilled atmospheric electronica featuring the Yamaha Reface CP piano and Korg Volca Beats.
