2005:- Orange Music release deep sky divers
CD in south-east Asia
After the recent success of
the London 2012 Olympic bid in Singapore,
UK ambient/chillout artists DEEP SKY DIVERS
have followed up with their own success
story from that part of the World. Singapore
based record label ORANGE
MUSIC have released "Deep Sky Divers",
a collection of eleven chilled-out inspirational
tracks selected from the first 5 deep
sky divers CDs. Released in mid-July, this
CD will be available in 6 territories in
south-east Asia through outlets such as
Sembawang, HMV, Tower Records etc...
deep sky divers are an electronic
music duo (Jon Short and writing collaborator
David Jones) from Sheffield, England. True
independent artists and cottage-industrialists,
they have been releasing CDs on their own
Anyrobinhood label since initial
success on the music download site MP3.COM
inspired them to give up their day jobs
and go with the musical flow. Tracks like
"Raging Calm" and "Skylander"
have achieved international recognition
and established the duo as leading UK exponents
of the ambient/new age genre.

established in the USA where, even without
music industry support, they sell most of
their CDs - thanks to supportive press reviews
and radio airplay on shows like ECHOES and
HEARTS OF SPACE. Their music is, however,
virtually unknown in their own country.

DEEP SKY DIVERS
is an electronic music duo from Northern
England. Jon Short and writing collaborator
David Jones have been creating and performing
atmospheric electronic instrumental soundscapes
since the early 1990's. The duo created
music inspired by life experience, by landscape
and their interaction with it. Their music
first came to prominence on MP3.COM in 2000,
the positive response was a revelation,
and their debut became the #1 selling CD
by a UK artist on MP3.COM. Since then, they
have released 5 well received CDs on their
own label. They have performed live at festivals
throughout the UK and have composed music
for several UK TV programmes.
